In the Local Church

Victor and Alycia travel from community-to-community as Victor’s job requires frequent relocation. This tab is a brief synopsis of the types of benefit Together Ministries will bring to a local church. While we are serving a Pastor in his community, we desire to enhance and build up the local body of believers by sharing our experience and proficiency in the following areas of ministry:

1. Christian Discipleship:

“Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things
and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.”
- 1 Corinthians 11:1-2

What’s socially acceptable to Christians is not what is socially acceptable to the world. Unfortunately, many who call themselves Christians have forgotten this truth, the lines have blurred, and they have followed the world’s ways rather than those of Christ.
Christian morality is taught and learned by example. We can teach them from the Word of God. We can show them how to live a godly life by walking alongside of them. We can provide them with opportunities to see us go through real life experiences. We can be living epistles. We can show them how Christians would handle different events in their lives.
Together Ministries’ Discipleship Ministry desires to coach men and women in responding to life events from a Christian view and to react as Jesus would have His disciples react. We are willing to disciple any young believers who are willing to come to us for counsel and guidance. We will pray for them, encourage them, and teach them in truth and love, just as truth and love have been poured into us. As we have been watered, we will now water. As we have received the grace and goodness of God, we are ready and willing to share the same grace and goodness of God with others.

2. Small Groups (sometimes known as Cell Groups or Home Groups):
“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:46-47
As ministries grow, individuals within a body can sometimes “slip through the cracks.” Cell groups are a tool to make certain every member’s spiritual needs can be met.
Victor and Alycia know how to establish and run small group meetings for a local church. These groups will serve the purpose and vision of the Pastor and his ministry.

3. Leadership Development:
“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” – 2 Timothy 2:2
See our Leadership Development Tab for more information on what we have to offer in this area.

4. Adult Bible Studies:
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15
As lifelong students of God’s Word, Victor and Alycia are able to teach on biblical principles in a clear and concise manner on any topic prescribed by the local Pastor or as led by the Holy Spirit. We have the ability to use different formats: either teaching through a book as a survey or using several different scriptures to illuminate revelation on a particular subject or issue.
We staunchly adhere to Orthodox Christian theology and established views of scripture while providing fresh revelation and insight into these doctrines as they apply to life in today’s world.

5. Outreach:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20
Victor and Alycia love going out into the community with the local body of believers to share the message of salvation and to promote the local church. By using various strategies for connecting with the local people, we seek to expand the influence and acceptance of the church within their community. Vic and Alycia love being used by the Lord to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and are able to teach other Christians how to become fishers of men with us.
Victor and Alycia are affiliated with certain international, short-term missions organizations and can facilitate short-term mission trips to other countries.
